On a quiet farm estate in the Dorset town of Bridport an award winning dehydrated expedition food business named Firepot can be found.

Founded in 2017 by John Fisher to serve as an adventurer’s most important companion: slow-cooked, natural food that tastes delicious the team produce in excess of 2k meals a day and an impressive 500k meals a year with most of the ingredients being sourced as locally as possible. As well as being used by adventurers Worldwide Firepot meals are the perfect solution for any outdoor activity to keep you well fuelled in the wild.

With a delicious range of menus suitable for all tastes and with extensive Vegan and Gluten Free options we are really pleased to be working with Firepot and are sure that our customers will reap the rewards of proper nutrition with the meal ranges on offer.

HOW MANY CALORIES ARE IN FIREPOT

The calorie content of our food varies across the recipe range: we make food that is nutritious and healthy rather than choosing a calorie target and then adding high-calorie ingredients until we reach it. Our range of main meals extends from 500kcal up to 635kcal for the standard portion size, and from 750kcal up to 940kcal for the extra large portion size.

WHAT ARE THE PORTION SIZES?

Our standard pouch of food (105-135g) will serve one hungry person. These are not the 300g portions you get in a packet of wet food, nor the ungenerous portions you get from some of our competitors. When rehydrated, these weigh in at a hefty 500g or more — perfect for a satisfying and generous meal at the start or end of a long day.

WHAT IS THE SHELF LIFE OF FIREPOT

As of the end of April 2023, we now have a five year best before date.
