Jo Meek
A runner for over 25 years, she transitioned to ultramarathons in 2014 and hasn’t looked back, using these long races as an opportunity to travel the world. Jo runs on roads, trails, and in the mountains, competing in distances ranging from 5km to 100 miles. She also works as a sports physiotherapist, specialising in treating runners, although her expertise extends to helping individuals across all disciplines.
Pete Thompson
Northern Irish long-distance runner, enjoys racing distances ranging from 5k to 100k. This year, he is focused on lowering his marathon time as much as possible. When not training, Pete is a dedicated husband, dad, and coach who is likely on the hunt for a bakery!

Elite XTERRA triathlete based in Exeter, Devon. XTERRA is a distinctive off-road triathlon that combines open-water swimming, mountain biking, and trail running across challenging terrain—a perfect blend of endurance and adventure.
Charlotte Clarke
Charlotte is a Dorset based ultramarathon runner. She’s covered distances from 50-100km and loves nothing more than taking to the coastal trails with her running pal Bonnie.
Marc Scott
Born in Northallerton in the North East of England, Marc joined his local running club at the age of ten. Impressing as a strong hill runner he claimed two top finishes in the junior race at the World Mountain Running Championships before moving across the Atlantic to study at Tulsa University.
Helen Gaunt
Elite athlete, coach, personal trainer, gym instructor, and nutritionist, as well as a proud mum of three. A medalist at the 2023 London Marathon, she boasts impressive personal bests, including a marathon time of 2:35, half marathon in 75:41, 10 miles in 58:13, 10k in 34:38, and 5k in 16:46.
Tom Wood
Long-distance triathlete based in Derbyshire. He began his triathlon journey at the age of 8, competing in elite draft-legal races from the age of 12 to 19 before transitioning to longer distances. Recently, Tom established a sports agency, Transition2Elite Sports Management, which achieved notable success by securing a Bronze Medal at the Paris Olympics with athlete Sam Dickinson.
Lydia Dant
Professional triathlete who has achieved remarkable success in her career. She is the first known professional triathlete with autism spectrum disorder. She is a two-time Ironman Lanzarote champion (2022 and 2023) and has secured multiple podium finishes across her racing career. Her why for racing in the professional field is to reach and inspire others to use sport to enhance their lives.
Rhianne Hughes
Professional long-course triathlete and elite runner based in Leeds. She primarily competes in middle-distance (half IRONMAN) triathlons and 10k to half-marathon running races. This year, her main goal is to achieve consistent race performance and target the Challenge Bonus. Toward the end of the year, she is considering stepping up to tackle a full IRONMAN.
