Why choose SiS Energy Gels?

SiS or Science in Sport Energy Gels are the most popular energy gels on the planet right now. These delicious energy gels are designed to help you - or your favourite athlete - recharge and perform at their best.

Science in Sport Energy Gels have been developed and tried and tested by elite athletes, who demand the best nutrition. All of our gels are isotonic, meaning they don't need to be washed down with water, making them a convenient choice when you're on the go.

What do Science in Sport isotonic gels do?

Science in Sport Go Isotonic Energy Gel is an easy-to-open and consume gel that delivers 22 grams of rapidly available carbohydrate to muscles. Once consumed, SiS Go Gels are quickly transported through the digestion system, where they are processed into energy.

The easily digested carbohydrates contained in SiS GO Isotonic Energy Gels facilitate rapid absorption of carbohydrates during exercise without causing a stomach upset.

When to take Science in Sport energy gels?

If you’re planning on taking an energy gel out with you on your next adventure, then you’ll want to know when and how to take each gel on (as there are a few to choose from).

SIS GO ISOTONIC ENERGY GEL

Science in Sport recommend using this gel in combination with other products to take in 60g of carbohydrate per hour for exercise lasting over 90 minutes. Fuelling every 20 minutes with a gel is a simple way to hit this carbohydrate target and keep performance at its peak with enough readily available energy for the body to perform.

If you’re exercising for under 90 minutes or taking part in high intensity, interval-based exercise, consume this gel 15 minutes before for maximum effect.

SIS GO ENERGY + CAFFEINE GEL

Take a 75mg caffeine gel one hour before you are due to finish training or racing to provide increased focus. You can also use a 75mg caffeine gel 15-30 minutes before a particularly tough part e.g. steep climb. This caffeine will provide you with an extra boost.

SIS GO ENERGY + ELECTROLYTE GEL

This gel is like the Science in Sport Isotonic Energy Gel, although there are extra electrolytes added in to provide you with those that are lost in sweat during excersize.

Science in Sport recommend taking 1-2 electrolyte gels during exercise where you are sweating heavily, for example, in hot weather conditions. Still aim to hit 60g of carbohydrate per hour, using electrolyte gels around other SiS GO products e.g SiS GO isotonic Energy Gel.

BETA FUEL GEL

This energy gel is optimised with a brand new 1:0.8 ratio of 40g carbohydrate of maltodextrin to fructose. This gel has been developed for endurance athletes to enhance power output, increase the body’s carbohydrate usage efficiency, and limit gastrointestinal discomfort.

Depending on your sport or event, you should aim to consume 2-3 gels every hour during exertion to reach an 80g-120g target intake. Beta Fuel gels can be used in combination with other products within the Beta Fuel range to allow you to devise the best fuelling solution for you.

BETA FUEL + NOOTROPICS GEL

Just like the Beta Fuel Energy Gel above, Science in Sport’s Nootropics Gel contains 40 grams of carbohydrates, with added nootropic substances that can enhance performance, giving you that lift you might need, especially at the final phases of exercise.

What other nutrition do Science in Sport produce?

Science in Sport not only produce energy gels, but they also produce energy drinks, hydration tablets and recovery mixes for all athletes to broaden their range of nutrition for race day.
