Our story began with personal setback. We were three, healthy young men. We thought we were indestructible. But then, several friends – all healthy and in their thirties, like us – were hit by cancer. Including Jono, our co-founder.
Through the experience we learnt that skin cancer – the world’s most common cancer – has doubled since the 90s. It's forecast to double again over the next 20 years. And yet, unlike other cancers, its 90% preventable.
Emboldened, we created LifeJacket, with the single vision of stopping the increase in skin cancer. If more people knew the facts and protected their skin every single day, further tragedies could be avoided.
Taking better care isn’t just about preventing skin cancer though. Everyday skin protection is all that matters.
