Squirrel’s Nut Butter (SNB) is an all-natural, anti-chafe and restorative skin salve used to both prevent skin damage as well as repair and restore damaged skin. It’s weather resistant, cruelty free and can be used to restore dry skin, including conditions such as eczema. That’s the Squirrel’s difference.

In 2018, XMiles UK welcomed Squirrel's Nut Butter to our family becoming Squirrel's Nut Butter UK (SNB UK). Building a strong relationship with the co-founders at Squirrel’s Nut Butter Chris & Stacy Thornley and a shared vision for SNB UK, we are excited to continue to grow the SNB and XMiles UK story, bringing the all-natural anti chafe/restorative skin balm to the UK and Ireland.

ABOUT OUR FOUNDERS

Chris & Stacy Thornley are the founders of Squirrel’s Nut Butter.

Stacy is an allergy nurse with a passion for skin health, who created a skin slave to help with her daughter's dry skin condition. This salve later became Squirrel’s Nut Butter after they discovered the salve’s superior anti-chafing powers.

Chris is an energetic tradesman who has spent significant amounts of his life rock climbing, running trails, running rivers and sailing. His four separate month-long solo rafting trips through the Grand Canyon constitute some of his greatest achievements.

Stacy engineered all the different versions of our current products from the kitchen in her home. She continues to brainstorm new ideas, while Chris manages the day-to-day operations at SNB in their home of Flagstaff, Arizona.

WHAT'S THE SQUIRREL DIFFERENCE?

The Squirrel’s Difference is based on 3 main points:

• We use only all-natural ingredients because we believe if it’s not natural, it’s not good enough for your skin.
• Your skin deserves the highest quality product with no compromises which is why we oversee every production of production. We hire local people in Flagstaff, Arizona to label our containers, we mix and pour our ingredients ourselves, and we fulfil and ship every order.
• Our products are intended to both prevent skin damage as well as repair and restore damaged skin which we do with all-natural products that keep your skin healthy throughout the day or night.

That's the Squirrel's difference.

WHAT IS IN THE PRODUCT?

Only all-natural ingredients. The original blend includes just four ingredients: coconut oil, cocoa butter, beeswax and vitamin E oil. The other products use ingredients like kokum butter, candelilla wax, peppermint and tea tree oils.

WHAT IS IT USED FOR? 

The products are used to promote skin health. They are used to prevent blisters and chafing during activity, and to restore and repair dry skin.

WHAT IS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE ORIGINAL AND VEGAN?

Beeswax is used in the original SNB blend. In the vegan blend, the beeswax is replaced with candelilla wax, which is derived from the leaves of a bush native to the southwest.

DOES SNB STAIN CLOTHES?

As an oil-based product, there are some fabrics that may stain when they come into repeated and close contact with the product, however this has only been heard of a few instances after many years of selling. If a stain does occur, we recommend that you treat the affected area with a spray before putting the item in the laundry machine.
