WHY SHOULD I USE AMACX?

Amacx also makes sports nutrition easy by simplifying product lines and providing consistent amounts of fuel and carb ratios per product. The Energy Line delivers 30g of carbohydrates at a 2:1 glucose-to-fructose ratio, while the Turbo Line provides 40g of carbohydrates with a 1:0.8 glucose-to-fructose ratio. This means you can choose any product from a given line to easily calculate and meet your hourly carbohydrate needs during your efforts.

WHAT DOES 2:1 OR 1:0:8 CARB RATION MEAN?

While all carbohydrates provide energy to the body, not all carbohydrates are exactly the same. For example, differences between carbohydrates cause differences in the speed and ease with which they are digested or absorbed into the body. After the digestion of carbohydrates, loose sugar molecules remain in the intestines, in particular glucose and fructose from Amacx's sports nutrition products. From the intestines, these two sugars are absorbed into the blood via separate absorption systems, and then transported throughout the body. These intake systems can be compared to a revolving door that only lets glucose or fructose through. Both revolving doors can absorb the sugars at a maximum rate: for the glucose system that is about 60-70 grams per hour, while for the fructose system it is about 30-50 grams per hour.

For intakes above 60 grams of carbohydrates per hour (recommended from 2 hours of exercise), the glucose-fructose ratio of products should be taken into account. 2:1 ratio is ideal to achieve maximum carbohydrate intake.

With intakes above 90 grams of carbohydrates per hour (recommended during extreme efforts), the 1:0.8 ratio is ideal to achieve these extremely high intakes. To prevent stomach or intestinal complaints, it is important to train regularly with these types of high intakes, and to gradually increase the intake.

WHAT IS TURBO LINE?

Turbo Line are Amacx's products with black packaging. These products have a 1:0.8 carbohydrate ratio that allows you to absorb up to 120g of carbohydrates when you train on them! You can dose the Turbo Drink according to your needs, the Turbo Gel contains 40g of carbohydrates & soon to come, the Amacx bar with 40g of carbohydrates.

WHAT IS ENERGY LINE?

Amacx's Energy Line are our products with blue packaging. These products have a 2:1 carbohydrate ratio, allowing maximal absorption. Within this line, we keep a carbohydrate content of ± 30 grams per product. This way, you can easily combine and choose to go for 60 or 90 grams of carbohydrate intake per hour, by mixing and matching your favorite textures, formats and flavors of product.
