Pick the right product for your athletes.

The right Bicarb System should be chosen according to the weight of the athlete. Bicarb System 15 is recommended for body weights 46-66 kg. For body weights 67 kg and higher, we recommend a dosage corresponding to around 0.25 g/kg, while dosages up to around 0.3 g/kg are optional for experienced bicarb users.

Bicarb System 15 is recommended.

Example 2 Athlete weighs 90 kg (198 lbs):

15 g / 90 kg = 0.17 g/kg 19 g / 90 kg = 0.21 g/kg 22 g / 90 kg = 0.24 g/kg 25 g / 90 kg = 0.28 g/kg

Bicarb System 22 is recommended: Bicarb System 25 is optional for athletes with previous experience of bicarb that would like to maximise their buffering capacity and extend the bicarb effect time window.

Picking for your athletes.

When choosing Bicarb System for your Athletes keep in mind the weight of the athlete and the sensitivity of their stomach. Our recommendation is to start out with a low dosage (0.20 g/kg) before moving up to medium dosage (0.25 g/kg).
