A very special issue – with an opportunity to support our artists.
In May 2020, we could not avoid the huge topic of not-running – as a lot of contributions talked about the effects of the pandemic on our sport. We also created ‘Artists in Residences’ – a support fund for our visual artists. If you enjoy Like the Wind’s illustrations and photography, please considering contributing to the fund by buying a set of postcards – all proceeds go to our artists.
In issue #24, we collect essays written from the lockdown. Some of what we are experiencing is not positive – lockdowns that have restricted our movements, races being cancelled, the inability to run with our friends and training partners. But there have also been some positives: time to reflect on why we run, finding different routes, new people discovering running for the first time.
We are also attempting to understand the experience for African American runners in light of the shooting of Ahmaud Arbery in the US.
And alongside these features we have our usual mix of entertaining, life-affirming and moving stories from contributors around the world.
In other news, we decided to try to support the illustrators, artists and photographers who make Like the Wind such a visual treat. We have launched an “Artists in Residences” fund. We are aiming to raise as much money as possible for artists whose livelihoods have been impacted by Covid-19. Many of them are self-employed or freelancers and as such are struggling to pay the bills. Our aim is to distribute all the money we raise to try to help in some small way.
Like the Wind has kicked the fund off and we have been joined by a number of running brands, and we will be thanking them all in issue #24 – but here already a massive THANK YOU to Mizuno, Strava, SOAR Running and Stance for leading the way.

How to login to your account
You can login to your account by going to the store's website and using their "login button".
Skip upcoming deliveries
Don't need your upcoming order, just Skip a delivery NO CHARGE
Once in your account you will need to open the "Delivery Schedule" tab.
Here you will see all upcoming deliveries for your subscription(s). To skip a delivery you just need to click "Skip" to the right of each relevant delivery.
This will only skip that one delivery, to skip multiple deliveries you will need to click "Skip" each relevant one.
How to change your subscription
To add products open your “Subscriptions tab” and click “Add product”. This will open a pop-up where you can search for, view and select additional subscription products from the store to add to your upcoming deliveries.
You can also choose the frequency, first shipment date and the subscription you would like the product adding to.
To change the frequency and variant of product, the flavour for example, open your “Subscriptions tab” and click the "Edit" button to the right of the relevant product.
How to cancel a subscription
Once in your account open the "Subscriptions" tab and next to each of the products you are subscribed to you will see a "Cancel" button.
Clicking this will cancel your subscription to that particular product.
